FULL NAME: Brice Johnson
PROFESSION: Professional Basketball Player for the Los Angeles Clippers.
Can you tell us a little about yourself... where are you from?
I'm from Orangeburg, South Carolina. I attended and played basketball University of North Carolina (some of the greatest years of my life so far!). To be truthful, I'm just trying to be the best version of myself that I can be, even throughout all the ups and downs. I try to stay honest and optimistic because life is a process and we must appreciate the little things...
When did you first become interested in Basketball and what sparked your interest?
I first became interested in basketball when I was really really young, I can’t tell you an exact age but my dad has been a basketball coach for 30+ years and I fell in love with the game since I was able to walk! So just being around my dad playing at young age is what sparked my interest in the sport.
Who or what inspires you?
My mom, my dad. My friends and family. There's nothing more inspiring than the ones who love you the most.
What’s been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge has been being across the country from my entire family and all of my friends. Playing in Los Angeles with your loved ones on the East coast is really hard. I’m all about family and it hurts me not being able to see them as much as I want to. Friends included!
Who is your style icon?
I'd have to say at the moment, Russell Westbrook. The way he jus wears whatever he wants and owns it is pretty awesome!
What do you look for in a pair of shoes (on or off the court!)?
Comfort and elegance. There's nothing better than a pair of shoes that are comfortable but bring an added level of flash to your outfit.
What is your favourite Duke & Dexter shoe?
Right now... It has to be the Pyramid black. I love the all black, and the extra spark it brings with the textured finish really does add a luxurious touch to footwear.
