Product Care Information
We put hours of love and obsessive detail into making sure each silhouette and style is the best it can be. It’s important to prolong the lifespan of your first, second and third pairs. Fortunately, we have a trick or two up our sleeves.

Leather
Over time, a well-treated leather is always going to show a little wear and tear. But, there are ways to care for your leather that may prolong its lifespan. Use a leather-safe protective spray to cater for any liquid incidents. In case of stains and dirty marks across the suede, it can be as simple as household wet wipes or using a soapy-water solution. Again, we advise doing your own research before testing these methods.
When it comes to painted leather, do not wash the leather with warm soapy water as you will risk damaging it.
Before anything, remove loose dirt with your choice of brush. Then, wipe surface marks away using either wet wipe or the same brush with a soapy-water solution, allowing to dry naturally before applying leather cream. To bring back your factory shine, use a tonal polish across the upper with extra attention paid when avoiding the white vamp, as any incorrectly matched polish may stain materials or stitching.
Never use strong products, chemicals or alcoholic solvents on our pairs, ever. It doesn’t end well.

Suede
Keeping your suede looking clean is simple. Use a suede-safe protective spray to cater for any liquid incidents. In case of stains and dirty marks across the suede, rub lightly with a dry brush or toothbrush to remove loose dirt, followed by a suede eraser if you have one to hand. Hard stains can be worked out using rubbing alcohol or white vinegar on occasion, though we advise to research prior and avoid cleaning with water.
Importantly keep your suede pairs out of direct sunlight when storing - bleached suede will need to be re-dyed.
Never use strong products, chemicals or alcoholic solvents on our pairs, ever. It doesn’t end well.

Printed
Our Printed Penny Loafers are pieces of wearable art, so, treat them as such. Use a leather-safe protective spray to cater for any liquid incidents. In case of stains and dirty marks across the suede, it can be as simple as household wet wipes or using a soapy-water solution. Again, we advise doing your own research before testing these methods.

Tread carefully, we cannot guarantee that any treatment outside of our factory will not damage the print.

Sole + Aftercare
Your rubber soles may be an afterthought, but it’s best to treat them in the same way as your leather and suede uppers.
Remove any loose dirt with the premium vegetable fibre brush, before mixing the Liquiproof eco-cleaner in-line with the brand’s on-bottle instructions. From here, lightly soak your vegetable fibre brush, massage into the soiled outsole and clean off any foam with the premium microfibre cloth. Avoid leaving your soles dirty for prolonged periods of time, as the dirt will become more difficult to extract.
To maintain the shape of your D+D’s, we recommend investing in a set of wooden shoe trees and using a shoe horn to avoid heel creasing. Remember, we gave you a dust bag for a reason - wherever you’re heading, use it.

Clothing
To preserve the feel and fit of your D+D apparel, we have a few recommendations. A huge amount of love, care and obsessive refinement has gone into creating these pieces over the past 14 months, and we hope that you put the same level of care into looking after them for years to come.
Should you wish to keep the finish, fit and hand-feel of the garments exactly as they are, we strongly recommend dry cleaning where possible.
